Sieben Edmunds Miller is proud to announce that partner Sam Edmunds has been named to the Minnesota Legal 250, a recognition honoring attorneys who are helping shape Minnesota’s legal profession through leadership, client advocacy, and community impact.

Published by Minnesota Lawyer, the Minnesota Legal 250 recognizes influential attorneys from across the state who have demonstrated sustained success, adaptability in a changing legal landscape, and a commitment to serving both clients and their communities.

Sam’s practice focuses on criminal defense matters throughout Minnesota. He is a board-certified criminal law specialist through the Minnesota State Bar Association, a distinction held by fewer than 3% of Minnesota attorneys.

In addition to his work on behalf of clients, Sam recently served as President of the Minnesota State Bar Association for the 2024-2025 term. Throughout his career, he has remained actively involved in leadership roles within state and national legal organizations while advocating for the rule of law, judicial independence, and access to justice.

This latest recognition follows Sam’s selection as a 2025 Minnesota Lawyer Attorney of the Year for Outstanding Service to the Profession, marking the third time he has received that honor. Together, these recognitions reflect a career defined not only by client advocacy, but also by leadership, service, and a lasting commitment to strengthening Minnesota’s legal community.

A defining aspect of Sam’s career has been his commitment to pro bono service. He maintains an active expungement caseload through the Volunteer Lawyers Network and helped launch a pro bono expungement initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist individuals seeking to re-enter the workforce.

Please join us in congratulating Sam on this well-deserved recognition.
